SC3F Wealth Management Group recently donated $50,000 to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation’s Campaign “The most important home you’ll ever build” for which $2.5 Million is being raised for a new Hospice House.
Construction on the $8 Million House will begin in Spring 2022 and will be located on the north side of Sarah Bush Lincoln. The Foundation is raising $1 million to help offset construction costs and another $1.5 million to build an endowment to help those without resources pay for their stay in the hospice house. The donation from SC3F will help build the endowment.
“The SBL Health Foundation and campaign committee are so incredibly grateful for this very generous donation from SC3F Wealth Management Group,” Amy Card, Foundation Director, said. “We’re so thankful that donors like SC3F are helping to build the endowment. While nearly every insurance company and Medicare pay for hospice care in a hospice house, they don’t pay for the actual room and board. Earnings from the endowment will help take the financial burden away from those families whose loved ones need to be in a hospice house, but simply can’t afford the stay.”
Gary Swearingen, Certified Financial Planner and Managing Partner of SC3F, said the company is grateful to be part of this project. “There’s such a tremendous need for a hospice house in our area and when we heard the news that Sarah Bush Lincoln was going to build one, we all decided that supporting this project was a priority,” Swearingen said. “We’re proud to be a part of Sarah Bush Lincoln’s continued growth and thrilled that SBL is going to provide this service to our communities.”
