Dwight Pentzien, DO, received the second quarter Bravo! Medical Staff Recognition for his work with patient care.
His nominator wrote, “There is more than one way to care for a patient. The clinical comes to mind first and foremost. But the cost of that clinical care can take its toll on patients too. Dr. Pentzien uses his clinical knowledge to help prevent denials from outside payers thus decreasing the financial and emotional anguish that impacts families and communities caught in these distressing situations.
Dr. Pentzien’s skills as an Emergency Room physician, to an Information Systems officer, to a physician advisor for the Utilization Management Department and clinical documentation specialists are second to none. He steps up to the plate to help resolve issues and concerns and does it with a smile. His commitment to patients and Sarah Bush Lincoln is 24/7. Dr. Pentzien is a kind, caring and compassionate physician who has broadened his knowledge base to include additional endeavors that support patient care.
